Lençois Maranhenses

Hello! Me and Diêgo went to the national Park of Lençóis Maranhenses at thursday. We woke up four at morning and waited for the tourist bus. The trip to the park took 3 hours, and when we finally arrived in the small city outside we went on the safari cars that took us through a swamp - like places with alot of palm trees. The path was filled with water sometimes and when the car passed through the water was flying around us and we had to hold on tight on the seats to not fall out, but it was funny. Later we came to see the white sand dunes in the horizon, and the car arrived. We left the car, me and Diêgo run up at the closest sand dune and at the top we had a wonderful enchanted view over the big, white desert landscape. It was a surrealistic view, cause in a desert like this you dont expect to see crystal clear blue - green water, then it was the silence, not a sound not even from the wind we could hear. It was almost like being in one of Dalí´s paintings. We run down to one of the clear lagoons and took a bath, the water was perfect, and to dive in the water with the swim glasses was good, it was so clear! Almost anywhere in the lagoons we visited we could see slimy, yellow transparant plants foating in the water, but they were beautiful, but not fun to approach.
After some hours we left Lençois Maranhenses and head back to the village to eat dinner before we took the long trip back to São Luís. I can tell that this place is the most beautiful place I ever have seen, I recomend people to go here if they head by São Luís or anywhere in Maranhão.
