What have happened these days? Well, at sunday we went to Diêgo´s aunt to eat dinner, later other relatives came for visit. We were looking at "Shrek the third" and went over to Êlyza´s home. At the evening we took the bus home.
We also booked a time in april for Diêgo to fix his passport, and we also went to the federal police to check if all his documents were okay. You see in Sweden we have one ID-card and our identification number, but in Brazil they have one million documents with photo who all is necessary to everything and many many numbers. They also have a card to proove that they vote for election, all people is forced to vote, it feels like fascism to me.
We have been eating pizza in a nice and cosy restaurant, and later we met Diêgos old classmates Sherlane and Irmã and went to cinema in the Shopping Boa Vista with them. We saw the film "Dressed for marry".
Yesterday we took the bus to the airport, Diêgo wanted to talk to the police there, later we went to the Swedish Consulate to get information about beeing swedish citizen for Diêgo and marrying.
We have to go to Rio de Janeiro for an interview at the Swedish Embassy, we booked the time today at the 10:th of july, two days before I leave Brazil... We will stay one month at a relative of Diêgo there, and we must go back to Recife at the 11:th, hope everything will be fine.
This was all of today, bye!

Downtown Recife
Not many things have happened since last time I wrote, but yesterday we left Boa Viagem. The time in our house there was over, so we took our bags and went to the buss station and went to downtown. There we had our new place. It was difficult to take the big bag up for all stairs, but I managed to take it up allo way in the end. A new room was free, it had balcony but was 50 reais more expence, but it was worth it. We have a fantastic view to the square with the water fountain. The bed is soft too, the other one was hard. The toilet is working much better than the one in the other place, but the bathroom is really discusting, the floor feels slimy.
The first night was good and we woke up really early. After breakfast at Gong Pastellaria we found a cheap cyber for only 50 centavos per hour, but only till 10 o clock, so here I am.
Thats all for today, bye!

One month now...
Yesterday evening I passed one month of being here in Brazil. It feels much longer, one month is not enough, so many things have happened so it doesnt feel like it only was one month since I arrived here in the world´s 5:th largest country.
This sunday me and Diêgo went to Olinda for the second time. Yes, Olinda really is the most beautiful city I have been in. We were walking through a park with a big pound with alot of leaves in it. Alot of palms were surrounding us, I love palms.
Later when we really came in to the old city that symbolize Olinda,we came to a hotel were we ate dinner. We have been thinking about travel to another country, so after dinner we went to Uruguay´s embassy that was just some meters away. The embassy of Uruguay was closed since 30 minutes ago. We continued to walk through the streets of Olinda, to the top of the "mountain" that Olinda is placed on. There you can see the great view all away to Recife and the skyscrapes there. We went to some tourist shops, just for fun, later we took a walk to some churches. I learned a new thing that day, long time ago the north-eastern Brazil was a dutch collony, the churches with two towers is dutch while the ones with only one tower is portuguese. Diêgo didnt know this either before.
We visited a big church with golden walls inside, some monks were there and singing, they live in this church. Here in Brazil it is common that monks and nuns is living in special parts of the churches, it is a monastery at the same time it is a church.
Later at the evening we ate some ice cream and milkshake before taking the bus home.
At monday we decided to clean our room cause the past night we had an attack of several cockroaches, discusting! At tuesday we also washed our clothes.
Today we went to the embassy of Argentina close to our home and talked abit. Its quite cheap to fly to Buenos Aires from Recife, but of course there is alot of things you need to pay for while you are there for one month as we talked about. Later we went to Cordeiro, the part of Recife were Diêgo´s old school are and were the cheap cyber is. We were looking for information about Argentina and I was chatting with my mom at home. Later we were thinking this trip may be a bad idea so we decided to travel around a bit here in the north-eastern Brazil and see some states here. Later we visited Diêgo´s friend and old neighbour Êlyza were we stayed a bit. I must say her dog is very sweet! But he bites alot...
We went to the favela close to buy bread, of course I didnt take my wallet and mobile telephone with me. The part of the favela I saw looked a bit cosy, but its very dangerous.
Right now we are in Êlyza´s school using the computer, we pretend we study here, but I have fear a teacher ask me something in portuguese and I cant answer, I really hope it doesnt happen. This was all for today, bye and good evening!

Carnaval!!!
Hello!
I am writing from the cheapest cyber cafe right now, Ill tell what happened these days.
This week has been the week of the carnival, me and Diêgo went to Recife Antigo some days were the party was. Its alot of people, so much that you almost cant move. We met his friends Roberto and Isis, and were with them two days of carnival. We were looking at people dressed in feather dresses, giant puppets and the consert at Marco Zero. The consert was the boring part of everything, else it was very nice to walk around and look at everything.
This tuesday was not so funny when we found out that Diêgos documents in the wallet was stolen, so yesterday we went to downtown to talk to the police. Brazil is a very bureaucracy-filled country, very annoying. The people here must wear all their documents, cause if the police stop them and ask for it and they dont have, they will go to prison. People like me, from other countries must wear passport, or a copy of the passport to show the identity. It feels a bit like dictatorship. The police asked us to go to a cyber cafe and fix everything over internet, he could not help us there, it feels a bit primitive.
Today we are looking for new apartments, cheap ones, we visited Diêgo´s friend Ingrid, later we almost got robbed by two guys on bikes who wanted to steal our bag. The sun was shining and we were in the middle of two streets were no one could help us. Diêgo took my arm and was running between the cars, thank god we were safe after this, a man and a woman saw everything, the woman were following us a bit. We went to a cafe to drink a milkshake, later we went to Diêgo´s old school and were looking there, it was cosy. And now we are here at the cyber.
Thats what happened this week, bye for now!

Sickness from Hell
I have been in a terrible sickness for a very long time now. We went to hospital this sunday, I didnt have to wait long, cause I was from another country so I was in priority, I hope I was not more priority than those people who really needed help as fast as possible...
I took a blood test and an injection to take away my fever, the blood test hurted alot. Later we could leave the hospital, but I didnt get much better...
The coming day I was sick again, and at the evening we had to go to the hospital again. The hospital is really horrible, its like a nightmare, very very sick people is in their beds out in the corridor, alot of people come here in emergency cause they have been shoot by guns. The hospital is full of people, people from small villages far away, 8 hours car driving away come here. Somewhere I could see blood on the floor.
We went to a room where I got, I dont know the english name, but a bag of water that ran into my veins. It hurted alot to take it cause the needle was thick. I had to sit in a metal chair, very uncomfortable, in Sweden we always get beds in rooms, never like this. I got panic, I was alone cause Diêgo almost fainted when I got the needle, I wnt back to him and wanted to sit in the chair were I got the needle, but I could not, I had to go back, and blood started to come out in the water. I had to sit in the metal chair for a while, soon Diêgo came back to me. We sat there a while till I could have a soft chair, then it was alot better. It was really a nightmare, I was feeling really week. Later I got a new bag with water, then I had to sit in a metal wheelchair in the corridor, very uncomfortable. At morning we could take the bus home. No one opened the door so we went to beach to the the sunrise. It went fast and the ocean was silver, very beautiful. Later we went home. The last days have I been spending at home, my medicin did cost 50 reais, very very expence, it is about 170 crowns...
Today the carnival is starting, me and Diêgo is in downtown in a cyber café, later we will dance. Thank god I feel better today, hope I feel even better tomorrow.
